Their formal push prompted the Pune Rural Police to launch a deeper probe. Superintendent Sandeep Singh Gill later confirmed that witness statements, digital forensics, and informant tips collectively proved the death was no accident. The investigation soon hit a major breakthrough when police found that Ketan’s fiancée, Siya Goyal, had maintained a year-long connection with another man, Chetan Chaudhary.
Gill said, “During the course of investigation, it came to light that the two conspired to eliminate Agrawal. At Lohagad Fort, he was allegedly pushed, causing him to fall to his death.”
According to authorities, Goyal and Chaudhary were subsequently detained by the Lonavala Rural Police. Under questioning, the pair allegedly confessed to their involvement in the crime. A formal murder case has since been registered against them, and investigators are now meticulously reconstructing the timeline of events to establish the exact motive behind the killing.
