On February 21, former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan wed his girlfriend Sophie Shine. The pair gave followers a preview of their celebrations by sharing pictures from their wedding.
Manish Malhotra created the ensembles that Dhawan and Shine wore. Dhawan wrote, “Mr. & Mrs. Dhawan,” in a post on Instagram. The couple can be seen dancing in one of the photos, and in another, Dhawan is seen performing a customary wedding ceremony by applying sindoor to Shine’s head.

In the comments section, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and other people congratulated the newlyweds. Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal also posted pictures from the wedding with the remark, “Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai,” while Ranveer Singh wrote, “Congratulations and God bless, Shikhar Bhai!” Family members were shown in the pictures taking pleasure in the occasion.

On January 12, Dhawan and Shine used social media to announce their engagement. They wrote, “From shared smiles to shared dreams,” next to a picture. We are thankful for the love, blessings, and well wishes we have received as we decide to spend the rest of our lives together. -Shikhar and Sophie.
The couple reportedly acknowledged their relationship in a previous post with the words, “My love,” and a red heart emoji. They had reportedly been dating for a while. Together, they often posted reels and photos on social media.
Zoravar is Dhawan’s son from his former marriage to Ayesha Mukherje. After eight years of marriage, the couple separated in October 2023, and the Delhi family court issued a divorce decision. In an exclusive interview with ANI, Dhawan disclosed that it has been two years since the separation that he has not had a face-to-face encounter with his son Zoravar.
He stated, “It’s been two years since I saw my son. It’s been a year since we talked. Because I’m blocked from everywhere. Of course, it’s difficult. But… You learn to live with it and I miss him.”
